Can I practice at your studio?
Yes, we offer practice-room memberships. Just let us know that you are interested when you take your trial lesson and we will get you set up. 
What kind of drum set should I buy?
We’ll help you choose based on space and budget. There are many good options in Chicago whether it be an acoustic or an electronic drum set. 
What kind of performance opportunities are there? 
We have recitals twice per year as well as adult rock bands that you can join. We are always working towards our next performance and putting a new band together. Let us know if you are interested in these opportunities and we will get you more information about what upcoming programs we have!

Meet Sam Barsi – Drum Instructor & Studio Founder

​Sam Barsi, founder of Sam’s Lessons and Pilsen Music, is a Chicago-based drummer and educator who grew up in a musical home and found his passion after watching his sister on the drumline. From school band competitions to rock gigs and funk shows, Sam’s journey has spanned classical, contemporary, and live band performance. With over 10,000 lessons taught, his flexible, student-centered approach helps drummers of all levels find their groove, have fun, and build confidence behind the kit.
