Frequently Asked Questions

What ages can my child or teenager start piano lessons?
For our kids & teens piano lessons program, we welcome students from age 5 through high school. For younger students age 3-6 we recommend our Kidz Club Music Foundations program.
Do you teach beginners?
Absolutely. We have a lessons program specifically designed for beginners to get jump started on piano. No experience needed.
Are lessons private or group?
Both! We offer one-on-one and small group options depending on skill and goals.
How often are recitals?
Students perform twice per year at our seasonal studio recitals.
Do you teach Contemporary piano, classical, or jazz?
For beginners we do a mix of classical and contemporary and we introduce jazz a little bit later as students learn more theory. Our teachers are experts at making learning piano fun by mixing familiar songs with technique and theory. See below for a few examples of curriculum repertoire we use.
Will we need a piano at home?
Starting out we tell students that it's okay if they do not have a piano or keyboard at home. Eventually we do recommend getting a piano or a keyboard with weighted keys. We can help you make the right selection for you budget, space, and needs.
